Genie Lesson # 75
Unwrap Your Present
There is emphasis these days on how to stay present and why this is important. If you have experienced trauma in the past, you may have learned to escape that pain, by disassociating from your body and emotions. This technique of disassociating has helped many people survive terrible experiences.
For those of you who have learned to separate your body and emotions, a side-effect is you may not be at home in your body and emotions when good things happen. This can mean that pleasure and praise can’t go in as deeply, as before you learned to make this mind-body separation. So, even when joyful events occur, if you are not grounded in your body, you are unable to absorb the good.
Eckhart Tolle, in The Power of Now, teaches people to get back into their bodies and develop a sense of “presence.” He uses breath, stillness and attending to the “pain-body” the piece that was so raw you learned to separate from it, in the first place.
Pursuing and obtaining your wishes takes perseverance, clarity, courage and time. But, cultivating this exceptional quality of getting out of your mind and into the now, lessens anxiety and lets you live all of your moments more peacefully.
Wishes made when you are present in your body and emotions are much more powerful. So, stay embodied while you make your choices, decisions and wishes. Also, being present while you unwrap your wishes makes them more delectable. It is a double-win. Staying in the moment is a life-changer, in itself, a wish come true!
Another technique to bring yourself into presence is to place your hands over the top-center of your scalp, so that your fingers touch each other, in the middle. Breathe deeply, for a few breaths as you gently hold the top of your head.
“Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Now that you have learned so much about what makes a good wish let’s move on to something more advanced. You are ready to create wish making magic by, combining the power of flower essences, afformations and wishes,” explains Gini.
“You have three personal wishes coming up,” Gini reminds. “Make only one wish every four to six weeks. This gives you time to do your ritual, flower essences, afformations and action steps. It also provides the universe with time to respond. So, savour each wish and go slowly. You may continue to read the book after you make your first wish but come back to wishes 2 and 3 after a suitable amount of time.”
“It is now time for your first wish!” Gini continues.
“In your imagination enter the school’s wish room, with its windows, screens, small ponds and crystal balls. Use the tools provided in this room, plus your imagination and heart to enhance your wish,” instructs Gini.
“Follow the Wish Template provided to heighten your chances of having a successful outcome. This template is something you can use again and again if you make copies for your personal use,” assures Gini.
