Grab your labels or markers, pens, and paper and prepare to contemplate and do some mock-ups. Read the information below and do some research into labels.
Introduction:
You must consider labels if you choose the “create eight products” option for your aromatherapy diploma. How do you want your labels to look, and what do you need to say? For our course, you do not need professional labels but something that looks good. If you choose that route before you sell your products, ensure you fully understand government regulations and what they currently demand to be printed on your label.

How To Create An Effective Product Label
Some options for labelling methods include:
a)Avery Labels– Buy their labels and input the relevant codes into your computer to personalize your product. Oil- and water-resistant labels are more desirable. Avery Labels (Canada).
b) Online Labels – Some students suggest using online labels as a viable option.

StickerYou.com: Based in Toronto, it offers a wide range of customizable label options, focusing on high-quality, durable materials suitable for bottles, jars, and more. Their online platform allows for a lot of customization, making it easy to create professional-looking labels. They also offer no minimum order quantities, which is perfect for small batches.
Uline.Ca While Uline is more known for its shipping and industrial supplies, it also offers a variety of blank labels that can be customized at home. This option might require more DIY effort in design and printing but can be very cost-effective, especially for larger quantities.
Investing in a good-quality printer and using high-quality label sheets for printing at home can make a big difference in the final product’s appearance. Experiment with different materials and finishes (matte, glossy, waterproof) to find what best suits your brand and product needs. Additionally, considering the environmental impact, many sustainable label options, such as recycled paper or biodegradable materials, might resonate with an aromatherapy business’s ethos.
It’s also worth noting that creating a visually appealing and informative label is key. When you buy bottles, ensure:

b) The top does not leak, is childproof and does not disintegrate from contact with essential oils.

Could you check your sources locally, nationally, and online? But start with small amounts so you do not get stuck with more than you need or a poor-quality supply.
Colours and Marketing–
We previously discussed the concept of colour in marketing in the perfumery unit with the Color Rosettes.
