How to Know if you are a Genie?

Certain people are more prone to become genies than others. They tend to be kinder than usual, generous and curious sometimes to the point of being intrusive and overly helpful. They love approval. We will call people with such traits, genie people, or genie beings.

Genie beings adore people and are sometimes in love with love.

Genie people are close cousins to fairy godmother types, who will also be available in Lumera to enhance your wish-making skills. Deep down inside, both genies and fairies want to make others happy. Genie people spend a great deal of time, thought and energy ensuring that those around them have all of their needs met.

Genie beings seem to pull gifts out of nowhere. Even if they are not wealthy, they find something unique and meaningful to give others for birthdays, Christmas or to show appreciation.

Genie people are geniuses, each having unique skills they take for granted. Often their zone of genius is a blind spot to them. Genie beings are also perceptive and good at their jobs, so good in fact that they are often underappreciated, as they make it all look so easy. That is until someone tries to fill their shoes. Genies tend to be multi-talented and very quick at comprehending and dealing with challenges. They know how to think creatively and reframe situations. They innately understand there is always a way out of the ‘lantern.’

Genie people are heart-based and easily heartbroken. They may feel taken advantage of because they will do anything for those they love, but the favours are rarely returned. When they are in need, often no-one is there for them.

Human genies also don’t like to ask others for favours. They would rather others just notice they need help and respond. While genie beings are busy taking care of everyone else, they sometimes lose their own time, identity and wishes.

Genies give with enthusiasm when they find someone who they consider truly worthy or needy and consciously decide to help. Spontaneous generosity is a genie’s gift and is life-changing for the recipient. Giving when they choose is very different than forced servitude, where the genie is captured and expected to use magic for someone ungrateful or worse, unethical.

Overall, genies working from their agendas give love and receive love and appreciation. The tide turns even in voluntary relationships when the recipient no longer tries to help themselves or starts expecting the genie to pick up all the slack and takes them for granted. Being discounted is a signal to the genie that it is time to move on. It is now up to the receiver of magic to learn what genie has taught them and empower themselves.

How many Genie Traits Are Optimum?

Partial genie – You have some genie traits, which make you desirable, vulnerable at times, but also wary. You have some boundaries and know how to say no.

Full genie – You are kind, generous, popular and loving. You have difficulty saying no. You are happier when you do some things for yourself. You also love making others happy. You are quick minded and multi-talented. But you sometimes attract partners who use you.

Super genie – You are ultra-cool and irresistible!

Genies people are very admired, loved and chased by regular humans. They are generous, kind and charismatic. If you are a Super genie, you will have many friends, admirers and social opportunities. You are a genius in many areas of your life. You are most prone to overtaxing yourself, giving too much and having loose boundaries.

There can be too much of a good thing. Super Genies can get very burned out if they do not renew with self-care. They must be wary of addictions and are prone to be captured by those who take advantage of their rare and beautiful traits.

The following lessons are for all levels of genies. Each genie will have vulnerabilities in different places. Some of the skills will speak more loudly to you, so focus mostly on those. Make a note of which lessons are most pertinent. You can come back to the book, as many times as you like to pick up different skills as you need them. The lessons below will help genie beings avoid and get out of genie traps.
